Benefits of Learnership Programs in South Africa
Incentives that are work-based and help those who have enrolled to get NQF qualifications are referred to as learnership programs. Those who mostly enroll for this learning program introduced in this country are those with disabilities. These programs help to train people for occupations such as hairdressing, engineering as well as project management. The government introduce the learnership programs in order to help those with disabilities to gain skills which they will use in their workplaces as well as experience for them to get better employment opportunities. During the duration of the program, one is required to be under their employer which is one of the terms and conditions given. Depending on the skills of the learner, the employer can choose to continue employing them after the program is over or not.

There are plenty of tests, projects, assignments, practical tests and tasks to do during the learnership. The learners are usually assessed for the level of their skills using tests and assignments at the workplace or their classroom.
